    1. Would this apply to the 07+ XK/XKRs as well?

Also, in step 1, what do you mean by ignition on? Does that mean you start with the car running? Because that means that in step 2 you turn it off by hitting the start button...

    2. no this is exclusively for the xf as far as I know. no the car is not running is just the ignition on. just follow step by step but not on the xk because it wont work. Luck!

    5. the engine is supposed to be off. With the car OFF start the steps above step by step and u should get it. The car is going to say put foot on brake to start this is normal, follow step by step and you should be fine.

  2. Actually, it does work for the XKRs. I did it on my '10 yesterday. Just the timing is tricky. There's a thread on a Jag forum here: http://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk-xkr-33/service-required-71130/

    3. On a 2014 XF this procedure did not work as stated. Connected Snap On Versus to the car, went in under service reset and pushed continue when it asked for reset and got the following message on the scanner, switch off ignition. On ignition switch off, dash lights came on and went off then scanner message was to perform this procedure as stated above except on initial step to have ignition off when first pressing and holding rear fog light switch. It worked after that.

  6. If ignition is on and you press start again as part of sequence then how do you switch ignition off at end of sequence when you have already switched it off ! Is this a main dealer wind up ?
